Ceramic series – Small Bricks

The ceramic series was first developed in the studio workshop in 2019. It was the result of exploring and experimenting with raw manganese clay. The surface structure is inspired by layered stone walls and is created partly deliberately and partly by chance. Room is given to chance, so that no two objects are the same. The combination of the almost black burnt stoneware clay with the surface structure gives the vases and planters a particularly stony character. It was important to make the special character of the material visible and to emphasize the material itself rather than hiding it under glazes.
